Data Deletion Instructions

No Account to Delete

New Rhythm does not use accounts, user registrations, or cloud storage. All your health data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. Because we don't have your data, there is no account or server-side information to delete.

Deleting Data Within the App

To erase all your readings while keeping the app installed, follow these steps:

  • Open New Rhythm on your device
  • Navigate to Settings
  • Scroll down and tap Delete all data
  • Confirm your choice when prompted. This action cannot be undone.

After confirming, all your blood glucose readings, blood pressure readings, notes, and preferences will be permanently deleted from the app.

Uninstalling the App

You can also delete all New Rhythm data by uninstalling the app from your device:

  • iOS: Press and hold the New Rhythm app icon, tap "Remove App," then tap "Delete App" to confirm.
  • Android: Press and hold the New Rhythm app icon, then drag it to "Uninstall" or tap the uninstall option.

Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data, including your readings and settings.

About Device Backups

If you have enabled automatic backups on your device (iCloud on iOS or Google backup on Android), your New Rhythm data may have been included in those backups. Uninstalling the app removes the data from your device, but backup copies may persist in your cloud storage until the backup is refreshed or manually deleted.

To ensure backup data is also removed:

  • iOS: Go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Backups, select your device, and review app data.
  • Android: Go to Settings → Google → Backup, and manage your backup data. You may need to wait for the next backup cycle or manually trigger a new backup after uninstalling.

If You Cannot Access the App

If you are unable to open New Rhythm (for example, if the app crashes), you can clear its data through your device settings:

  • iOS: The only option is to delete the app entirely. iOS does not allow clearing app data separately.
  • Android: Go to Settings → Apps → New Rhythm → Storage → Clear Data. This removes all app data without uninstalling.
